Tracey Franklin

Owner

Tracey Franklin is the Owner, Master Stylist and Visionary of Loxx Salon and Spa. With over 16 years’ experience behind the chair, her passion for education is evident in her work. With advanced certifications in extensions and other high-end hair treatments, Tracey loves giving her guests the hair they’ve always dreamed of! Becoming an American Board Certified Haircolorists is something she’s extremely proud of and something fewer than 2500 stylists in the United States and only 22 others in Tennessee have accomplished. It’s the stylist equivalent to having your PhD in color!Tracey understands the importance of delivering a great guest experience and has created an atmosphere at Loxx that will make you feel relaxed and pampered no matter what type of service you receive.

Mike Franklin

Owner

Mike Franklin, along with wife Tracey, own Loxx Salon and Spa. After a lengthy career in higher education, he decided it was time to concentrate on his passion of entrepreneurship. As the Loxx motivational guru, bookkeeper, marketing executive, handyman, and all around whatever it takes guy, you might see him working at the front desk one day and installing a new styling station the next. Mike bridges the gap between the artistry of hair design and the business aspects of the salon and spa industry.

Nancy Lenora Engeloff

Senior Stylist / Manager

Nancy is a Jacksonville, Florida native. In 2007, she moved to Tennessee to be closer to family. Nancy trained at Paul Mitchell-The School in Murfreesboro, TN and became a licensed cosmetologist in 2011 and has been with Loxx since its inception. Her education and learning about new trends and fashion is ongoing. She has trained at shows and events all over America and internationally. Nancy is certified in EHP tape in hair extensions and Brazilian Blowout de-frizzing treatment. When not serving clients, she enjoys nature, music and art. Nancy has a passion to make her guests feel gorgeous by designing styles to match their lifestyles and she takes pride in listening and understanding client’s needs while respecting the health and integrity of their hair.

Shannon Gambrell

Senior Stylist

“Professional stylist, amateur therapist”! As a Cookeville native, Shannon’s love of all things beauty began in high school, where she spent 3 years in the cosmetology program. After working at Loxx for several years, she took 9 months off from behind the chair to travel with celebrity artists into salons across the southeast US, educating stylists and barbers on new styles and techniques. Shannon specializes in textured cuts and balayage and has extensive knowledge on using facial shapes and skin tones to customize a style that is perfect for each guest. Back and better than ever, Shannon would love reconnect with her previous clients and can’t wait to meet some amazing new guests!

Ciara Livingston-Pigg

Studio Stylist, Level 2

Ciara Livingston-Pigg is a Level 2 Studio Stylist with 3 years’ experience. She is dedicated to education, having certifications in Brazilian Blowout and Easy Hair Pro hair extensions, along with advanced classes on the latest hair trends, such as balayage, ombres and other hair painting techniques. She is passionate about giving her clients the ultimate package of receiving the hair of your dreams while enjoying a relaxing spa experience.

McKenzie Anderson

Studio Stylist

Mckenzie Anderson has been behind the chair for 4 years but her passion for hair began when she was in the 7th grade. She specializes in up to date color techniques and loves to help guest learn new styling tricks. Living for summer, Mckenzie can’t wait to be outside exploring or sitting on the beach relaxing.

Morgan Brown

Studio Stylist

Studio Stylist Morgan graduated from Tennessee School of Beauty in May 2016 and trained at the prestigious Belleza Salon in Knoxville. She is passionate about creating an individual look for her guests with cuts and colors that enhance their beauty. In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her 3 boys and Great Dane (3 kids, what free time!) and loves to travel any time the opportunity presents itself.

Alex Pineda

Nail Technician

Alex Pineda, senior nail technician and makeup artist. Alex graduated the nail program at Tennessee College of Applied Technology in Livingston in 2015. With over 3 years of experience in the beauty industry she truly strives to make her guests look and feel beyond their expectations. Her expertise lies in her passion for trendy nail art and glammed up make up applications. She is certified in Barefoot toenail reconstruction and enjoys giving her guests feet they never knew they could have!

Jessie Pieper

Jessie Pieper (Aesthetician) has always had a passion for skincare and decided early on to make it her career. She graduated from Georgia career institute in September 2016. While in school Jessie quickly learned one of her favorite services to offer is waxing. Her gentle touch and eye for precision set her apart from others, whether it be a Brazilian or expertly arched brows, you will leave her room looking and feeling your best. Her facial massage is heavily influenced by lymphatic drainage techniques. Through each treatment she strives to give her guest the results they are seeking while promoting deep relaxation. She enjoys educating her guests about their skin and how to holistically maintain skin health. Being certified in dermaplaning adds to the services her guest love. Recently Jessie added Education Training in Microblading, allowing her to give women the desirable eyebrows they seek. When not in the spa, Jessie enjoys sharing her love of makeup artistry and relaxing with family and friends.

Grace Spellings

As Loxx’ first Aveda Institute Alumnus, Grace has provided the staff with a new perspective on Aveda rituals and product knowledge. Although her passion lies with skin care, she is also an amazing make-up artist. With certifications in Bella Lash Extensions, Theraderm Derma-planing and Aveda advanced chemical peels, guests can be assured they will receive only the best from Grace! Her favorite service to perform is derma-planing because of instant results it provides to her guests and she loves educating others on the importance of skincare.

Joanie Shock-Sanders

Joanie Shock-Sanders (Laser Specialist) was born in Dayton, OH and moved to Cookeville in 1978. Though she had completed a cosmetology program, Joanie chose a different career route and began working as a technician with X-ray and CT scan. Soon she found herself missing the beauty industry and decided to attended Laser Skin and Wellness Institute in West Palm Beach, Florida where she became fully trained in Cutera Lasers. With 14 years’ experience, Joanie is one of the Upper Cumberland’s best in laser hair removal, age and sunspot removal, vein therapy, and laser skin tightening and is certified with Latisse and SkinMedica products as well as SkinMedica advanced chemical peels. When asked why she is so passionate about this specialty, Joanie responded “after performing these services on myself and seeing the amazing results, I wanted to provide others with that same great experience.”

Molly Hoffman

Molly Hoffman is an Indiana native who transplanted to Tennessee in her early teens. She received her Master’s Degrees in Special Education and Business Administration from Tennessee Tech. Molly has over 8 years’ experience in supplying guests with exceptional customer service and continues to do so at Loxx. Molly has implemented numerous procedures to ensure your visit is enjoyable from the moment you book your appointment until you leave looking and feeling fabulous!

Laura Anderson

Laura Anderson was born and raised in St.Paul Minnesota. After receiving a Bachelors of Science degree in Wildlife Biology from the University of North Dakota, she moved to Denver, Colorado and received a second degree in Veterinary Technology from Bel-Rea University. She and her husband transplanted to Cookeville 3 years ago with their two dogs and cats. With over 12 years of customer service experience and a passion for fashion, she loves helping clients feel their best inside and out.
